Your Mission: As an Inventory Administrator, you will be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring our production and warehouse teams have everything they need to deliver fresh, nutritious meals to dogs across the UK. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with suppliers and offsite storage facilities, and keeping our operational processes running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with our production, warehouse, and data teams. You will be responsible for tracking stock movements, managing goods-in processes, generating production picks, and maintaining accurate records across our systems. When team members are away, you will step up to cover additional responsibilities, making you a vital part of our operational resilience. You will report into the Inventory Manager and collaborate daily with production, purchasing, and inventory management, data science. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things organised and on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations
  • Record and track all deliveries from freezers to production
  • Generate daily ingredient picks for production including meals, WIPs, and toppers
  • Complete daily GMP documentation and OPS KPIs
  • Conduct morning meat checks for temperature and quantity
  • Manage goods-in processes: receive, check, count, and record all SKUs against purchase orders
  • Accurately update inventory and WMS with all received items
  • Label, store, and organise stock in correct locations
  • Prepare and process delivery notes and relevant paperwork
  • Coordinate with offsite storage facilities for collections and call-offs
  • Track stock levels held at offsite locations
  • Weekly Tasks
    • Create and fulfil sales orders for packaging supplies (boxes, dividers, paper, stretch wrap)
    • Process stock requests from different departments
    • Compile and submit weekly waste reports
    • Conduct main SKU stock counts
    • Call off trays and boxes direct from suppliers
    • Fulfil sales orders generated by the Data team
    • Track and report on consumables usage
  • Monthly & Ad-Hoc
    • Support monthly full stock takes
    • Liaise with offsite storage to resolve any discrepancies or issues
    • Assist with inventory location updates and amendments
    • Report missing items, damages, or incorrect shipments to relevant teams
    • Create new locations and SKUs in WMS as needed
    • Conduct cycle counts and WMS amendments
    • Support BOM creation and amendments
    • Generate and laminate barcodes as required

    What You Will Bring

    • Experience in warehouse, inventory, or operations administration (food manufacturing experience a plus)
    • Confident using inventory management systems or WMS
