An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Controller to join our Volvo Dealership in Worcester. Hours of work are 08:00 - 17:30, Monday to Fridays and Saturdays on a rota basis. Excellent Basic Salary with OTE of up to £47,500 plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
  • Manage a team of Technicians ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide focused management to the service department team, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure processes are always adhered to.
  • Conduct regular process reviews with your Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow‑up actions are taken to rectify.
  • Manage the performance of the workshop to ensure that KPI targets are achieved.
  • Manage and plan workshop / support resources to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support the department team as required and ensure that all work is completed on time.
  • Support the service department with specifications and coding of non‑standard, complex jobs and ensure all such work is approved with customers prior to any work being started.
  • Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy‑in and agreement from the customer (Retail or Internal).

Qualifications:

  • Previously worked within a dealership as either a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman or Experienced Workshop Controller and are looking to Listers for more opportunities to progress.
