Gi Group is working with McLaren Automotive to add an experienced automotive paint sprayer to the paint shop team. This is an initial fixed‑term contract for 3 months. Working Monday to Friday 5:30am – 2:15pm with potential overtime on weekends.

Pay Rates:

  • £19.47 per hour Monday to Friday
  • £29.21 per hour after 40 hours and Saturdays
  • £38.94 per hour Sundays and bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Group Leader at McLaren Automotive, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation within the application of paint.
  • Understanding practical problem‑solving methods and rework instructions.
  • Escalating any issues found within the built‑in quality stations and rectifying to process standard.
  • Ensuring 5S within your work area in line with McLaren expectations.
  • Maintaining standards such as using the uniform/clothing provided.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities as requested by your leader.
  • Logical thinking with good communication to ensure all rework methods are to the highest of standards.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Functional / Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of processes/work instructions to deliver a consistent product.
  • Understanding of workplace safety risk assessments and their meaning.
  • Ability to make sound and logical decisions.
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience and knowledge within paint application.
