We are looking for a Vehicle Builder to join a growing specialist manufacturer of bespoke LCVs.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled team producing high-quality van conversions for customers across the UK.
As a Vehicle Builder, you will be responsible for transforming light commercial vehicles into fully equipped, customer‑specific solutions.
Working in a modern workshop, you will install mechanical, electrical and storage systems while ensuring every build meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and convert light commercial vehicles to customer specifications.
- Install racking, storage systems and bespoke conversion equipment.
- Fit electrical components including internal and external lighting and battery management systems.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to completed vehicle builds, including occasional UK travel with overnight stays (on an ad hoc, very rare basis).
- Complete job cards and update work completed using the company’s internal systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Work closely with the Design & Development team to support product improvements.
- Report technical or quality concerns to the After‑sales Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Practical electrical knowledge.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
- A methodical approach to fault‑finding and problem solving.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience within automotive manufacturing, coach‑building, automotive assembly or specialist conversions, caravan or motor‑home fitting.
