Quality Process Engineer | West Midlands | £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits
- Full‑time, 40 hours per week
- Start time from 6:00am (flexible, with flexibility expected in return)
- Unpaid 30‑minute break daily

What You’ll Do
- Reporting to the Quality Manager, take ownership of day‑to‑day quality performance and improvement activity across the business.
- Analyse quality data, identify trends and report performance to drive proactive improvement.
- Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Why’s and 8D, tracking corrective actions through to closure.
- Implement and maintain effective process controls to reduce scrap, rework and customer returns.
- Manage internal and external non‑conformances, including rejects, concessions and customer complaints.
- Support audits, documentation, SOPs and quality alerts to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Embed a "quality‑first" culture, supporting teams at all levels to take ownership of quality and process discipline.

What We’re Looking For
- Experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Process Engineer from a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to iron foundry or high‑integrity casting processes
- Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and data‑driven improvement
- Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Confidence engaging with production, engineering and leadership teams to influence change
- A practical, detail‑focused approach with strong communication skills
- Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, Lean or structured problem‑solving methodologies is advantageous
- Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential if you can demonstrate the right practical experience and mindset
