My client specialises in the defence industry, produces and maintains various types of weapons and materials. They are also involved in creating composite materials such as carbon fibre tubes and aero-structures.
You will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections using standard measurement tools and specialised go and no-go gauges, as well as preparing and maintaining inspection documentation.
Responsibilities- Prepare to inspect product by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections and testing procedures.
- Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including, MIL-STD-1916 sampling size, First Articles, certificate of analysis, and conformity among others.
- Inspect product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by measuring dimensions using instruments such as gauges, callipers, comparators, micrometres, optical comparator, etc.
- Be dedicated to the integrity of the quality function and possess a drive to enhance the quality of both the product and processes.
- Must be able to make accurate measurements.
- Over two years progressive inspection experience preferred in the Aerospace and Defence Industry.
- Certified Level II in the following NDT methods RT, LT, PT.
