M Pro Recruitment are working with a dynamic automotive service provider committed to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance and are looking to expand by hiring a passionate and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our workshop.

Role Overview

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. You will work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, using the latest tools and technology to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and to manufacturer specifications. Your ability to provide excellent customer service will be key to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out diagnostic checks and repairs on vehicles.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and more.
  • Replace and repair components such as engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out, including parts used and time taken.
  • Provide clear, accurate updates to customers regarding their vehicle’s condition.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology and repair techniques.

Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Full, valid UK driving license (preferably with no more than 6 points).
  • Excellent diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers.
