We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality products to the required standards, as defined by drawings, written instructions, and guidance from the supervisor.
- Complete engineering duties for sub-assembly production, fitting, and final assembly.
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components and sub-assemblies as required.
- Assist with the production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity, using general skills such as marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending, weld joint preparation, hydraulic runs, and pneumatic runs.
- Comply with the company's health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring your own safety and that of others.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably expected by the company.
Requirements:
- Solid engineering background with experience working from manufacturing drawings, general arrangement drawings, and sub-assembly drawings.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools to assemble a wide range of large and small fabricated components.
- Ability to check the complete assembly for alignment, dimensions, and quality.
- Experience in vehicle fabricating/fitting is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical mindset.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuitry.
- Background in aviation, military, marine, or a similar industry is desirable.
- Basic electrical assembly skills and the ability to read electrical circuit drawings are preferred but not essential.
This role is working Monday-Friday and offers a competitive salary with bonus incentives.
