Based near Hanger Lane, West London, you'll be part of a small, highly skilled team working directly with autonomous vehicle systems.
If you've spent years in a dealership and want to trade repetitive servicing for genuinely complex, tech-forward work — this is it.
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 base, plus up to 20% shift premium
Ditch the 8–5 grind. Our shift structure gives you full days off during the week — more time for life outside work than a standard Mon–Fri ever could:

- Sunday – Thursday | 10:00PM – 6:00AM
- Monday – Friday | 10:00PM – 6:30AM

- Servicing, repair and maintenance of electric autonomous vehicles — mechanical, electrical and integrated AV systems
- Complex hardware retrofits: sensor fitment, LiDAR, RADAR and AV hardware replacement
- Software and firmware updates across the fleet
- Diagnosing advanced EV and AV systems — electrical, A/C, mechanical and autonomous
- Collaborating directly with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues
- Participating in fleet-wide hardware and software upgrade programmes
- Accurate documentation of repair orders, diagnostics and parts used
- Staying current with AV technology through ongoing training and development
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years of hands-on automotive experience — brakes, suspension, alignment, electrical diagnosis, software/firmware updates
- Strong EV/HV background — diagnostics and repair on electric or hybrid vehicles
- Experience with AV or sensor-based systems desirable, not essential — we’ll train the right person
- IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent HV qualification
- Confident with hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Sharp diagnostic mindset — comfortable working with complex, integrated systems
- Detail-oriented, safety-focused and comfortable in a fast-paced tech environment
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal
Nice to have:
- Background from a prestige or performance brand — JLR, McLaren, Tesla, Porsche, BMW, VW, MINI or similar
- Sensor calibration or autonomous vehicle field experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Python, Java, C++, Jira or G-Suite
Benefits:
- Private medical insurance
- Company pension
- Life insurance
- Sick pay
- Boot and PPE reimbursement
- Career development through Amerit University
- Employee referral and recognition programme
- Access to global employee resource groups
Working environment:
