About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Bodyshop Workshop Controller / Production Manager to join a busy and well-established accident repair centre in Thurmaston, Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised individual to play a key role in managing workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards across all repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the bodyshop workshop
  • Manage workflow and ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
  • Coordinate technicians, schedules, and repair processes
  • Monitor productivity and ensure targets are achieved
  • Handle administrative processes, including job approvals and documentation
  • Maintain high standards in line with industry regulations and audits
  • Ensure compliance with company systems, procedures, and health & safety requirements

About You

  • Proven experience within an accident repair bodyshop environment
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Production Manager, or similar role
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Numerate and literate, with the ability to manage administrative tasks effectively
  • Ability to manage workflow, approvals, and quality standards
  • A hands‑on, proactive approach with strong leadership skills
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

Additional Requirement

Due to existing contracts with the police, all candidates must be able to pass NPPV Level 2 vetting.
