As a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for keeping a modern fleet of rolling stock operational and safe. Whether you're from a background in HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, the armed forces, or REMEs, your transferable skills in heavy maintenance are exactly what we need. Essential Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment
- Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and braking systems
- Team player with a strong commitment to safe working practices
What you will be doing
- Preventative Maintenance: carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the fleet
- Reactive Maintenance: diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly
- Operational Excellence: adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures, always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Data Management: accurately record all maintenance, defect, and repair information to support ongoing fleet performance analysis
Work Schedule
- 3-week rotation shift pattern:
- Mon – Friday: Earliest 06:00am – 14:00pm
- Mon – Friday: Late 14:00pm – 22:00pm
- Mon – Friday: Nights 22:00pm – 06:00am
- Saturday: Overtime for Earliest 06:00am – 14:00pm
