Our reputable automotive client based in Farnborough is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their established dealership group. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for experienced technicians passionate about automotive diagnostics and ready to work with cutting-edge technology. The Diagnostic Vehicle Technician will contribute to a professional team focused on delivering high standards of service.

Benefits

  • Basic salary of £41,000 per annum, with potential to earn up to £50,000 with bonus and overtime

Duties of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

  • Conduct vehicle health checks and diagnostic assessments using the latest technology tools
  • Perform routine servicing, identify faults, and recommend necessary repairs
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
  • Fit accessories and additional customer-requested modifications
  • Carry out minor electrical and mechanical repairs, warranty jobs, and component replacements
  • Road-test vehicles to verify faults are resolved
  • Maintain accurate and detailed vehicle service documentation
  • Assist in identifying further repair requirements for customer vehicles
  • Support the team in delivering excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in automotive technology
  • Strong diagnostic skills in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Self-motivated with a desire for continuous professional development
  • Ability to work efficiently while adhering to manufacturer guidelines
