Following the award of significant new programmes and company growth, a successful division of a major global manufacturing group which supplies the Aerospace, Defence & High Technology sectors is looking to appoint an Export Control Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, where you will play a key role in coordinating export shipments, maintaining compliance with export control regulations, and managing licences to ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international markets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international export control laws and regulations.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage export licence applications.
  • Work closely with the Divisional Trade Compliance Manager to develop policies & procedures.
  • Provide export control advice and training to employees and management.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate export control records and documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to export procedures across the organisation.
  • Provide administration support for the Finance, Operations and Purchasing functions when required.

Qualifications

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in export control, export administration or trade compliance preferable.
  • Experience working in the aerospace, defence, high technology or manufacturing sectors advantageous.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information responsibly and with discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
