We are seeking an experienced Electroplater to join our production engineering client based just north of Heathrow Airport, West London. The Electroplater will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability.

Responsibilities

  • Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (masking techniques, etc.)
  • Previous experience in surface preparation by grit blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in a range of electroplating processes: Cadmium Plate, Nickel plating, Hard Chrome plating, Alocrom, Nital etch (acid etch inspection).
  • Heat treatment of components.
  • Complete work in line with technical instructions and to the correct quality standards.
  • Good understanding of environmental issues associated with electroplating industry.
  • Knowledge of COMAH information advantageous; training will be provided.

Essential Experience

  • Worked within a plating shop environment.
  • Basic understanding of processes and procedures associated with electroplating.
  • Experience working in a Part 145 environment.
  • Strong team player.
  • Moderate level of PC literacy.
