As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for producing high-precision crankshafts, camshafts, and various engine components for leading super and hyper-car manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC and manual cylindrical and surface grinders.
- Perform quality control checks using gauges, perthometer and Adcole equipment.
- Manufacture components efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to company standards and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of communication with the team and report operational issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to methods, processes and tooling.
- Consider health and safety, environmental and energy impacts of all activities.
- Support the company’s compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile
- Experience as a CNC grinder, preferably within the automotive or aerospace sectors.
- Junker and Kellenberger experience preferable but not essential.
- Proven ability to read, interpret and communicate technical drawings and information.
- Knowledge of work-holding methods, wheel mounting and dressing is preferable.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Working Hours
Week 1: Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00; Friday 06:00-13:00. Week 2: Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00; Friday 13:00-20:00.
