Are you an experienced Mobile SMART/Paint technician looking for a new challenge in and around Maidstone or Canterbury? If so, you might be just the person we are looking for. Automotive Repair Systems Ltd is one of the largest independent Mobile SMART Repair companies in the UK, with more than 140 mobile technicians. We are expanding the Mobile Paint/SMART Repair Technician team in the Canterbury area.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will provide Mobile SMART Paint Repair services to our dealership customers in and around Maidstone and Canterbury.
  • Applicants will work Monday to Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ paint repair experience, preferably ATA/IMI/QAA and working to PAS 125 formats.
  • Ability to paint a minimum of 2 vertical panels and blend.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Previous customer‑facing experience.
  • Basic maths and English required.
  • Prepared to travel on a daily/mobile basis to carry out the SMART Repair requirements of customers.
  • Flexible with hours as customers require.
  • Good time‑keeping.

Assessment & Training

  • All applicants will be invited to complete a morning/half‑day paint assessment at our Head Office in Orpington. Travel and fuel expenses will be reimbursed.
  • Successful candidates will receive further training to understand our procedures and process requirements.

Compensation

  • On‑target earnings for the first year would be in the region of £45–65 K per annum on a PAYE basis.
  • Salary ranges from £34,176, rising with service, up to £43,050, inclusive of an annual tool allowance.
