Class 2 HGV Driver – Aircraft Loaders – Fixed Term Until 31st October
Regular roster of 4 on 4 off shift, availability for 06:00-17:30, Overtime rate of 1.5, free onsite parking, complimentary meals and refreshments, free uniform, free life insurance, company sick pay, pension scheme.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving HGV 15 – 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
- Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
- Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
- Liaising with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
- Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional airport by‑laws
- Additional duties such as bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork
- Plus any additional warehouse duties
Requirements
- Valid clean HGV CAT C driving licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
- Digital tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
- Driver CPC qualification essential
- Previous HGV experience desirable, airport air‑side driving would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
- Must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (criminal record check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history
- For anyone who spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC for that country
Compensation
- £34,176 rising with service up to £43,050 (inclusive of annual tool allowance)
- £41,946 rising with service up to £52,512 (inclusive of annual tool allowance)
