More recruitment are working with a client based in PE7 who are looking for an experienced Transport Clerk to join their team on an ongoing basis. This is a night shift so you must be used to working nights and the shift will be on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern starting at 19.00 - 7am.
Pay Rate: £13.58 per hour.
Shifts: 4 on 4 off shifts - 19.00 to 7am
What the job involves:
- Pre-briefing and debriefing drivers
- Managing route changes (driver no-shows, customer queries, schedule adjustments)
- Completing in-house reports for key customers
- Checking, scanning, and locating PODs
- Handling fleet call-outs and defect reports
- Liaising with shunters and Operations teams
- Using in-house systems (AS400 / Hydra planning system) to update routes and deliveries
Requirements for the role:
- You must have experience working within a transport office
- You need to be happy working nights including weekend shifts on a rota
- You must have good written and verbal communication skills
- You will need to have good knowledge using computers especially excel
- You will need good geographical knowledge
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask whilst keeping calm and professional
