Our client, a respected Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automotive Quality Assurance Engineer to join their dedicated team in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK. This role is vital in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability throughout the entire manufacturing process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust quality control plans, conducting product and process audits, and analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Your expertise will be crucial in working with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent future non-conformances. This includes performing root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, and Ishikawa diagrams. You will also be involved in customer issue resolution, liaising with clients to understand their quality concerns and implement appropriate solutions. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, such as IATF 16949, and supporting external audits. Experience with measurement tools, statistical process control (SPC), and quality management systems is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a keen eye for detail.
