Murray McIntosh are currently seeking Manufacturing Engineers to work for a client of ours on a contract basis. Please note we can only consider British citizens for this UK‑eyes‑only project. In addition, we require candidates who either currently hold or are eligible to obtain SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong manufacturing engineering knowledge and experience.
- Ability to lead PFMEAs; create and approve procedures, process mapping & documentation as well as mitigating risk.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and create/manufacturing drawings.
- Create works orders with accurate routings and operations.
- Have a good understanding of heat treatment processes.
- Experience of process improvement, creation, development, approval and documenting.
- Experience and understanding of machine shop manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- 2D/3D CAD experience.
- Knowledge of grinding (cylindrical, face, profile, shaping, diameter, surface or similar).
- Experience of laser measurement or dimensional control preferred.
Qualifications:
- A degree in STEM or equivalent experience, along with substantial leadership and supervisory background.
- Strong ability to manage complexity and balance the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in driving engagement and fostering an inclusive environment that values different perspectives.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to plan, prioritise, and align work with organisational objectives.
Additional Information:
- Salary is up to £58,000 depending on your skills and experience, with an excellent range of company benefits including healthcare cover and enhanced sick pay.
- Be trained in Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen or similar.
- Ideally you will be from a similar industry e.g. Defence, Aerospace or other regulated sector.
