The predicted salary is between 13.47 - 13.47 £ per hour.
- SEN Teaching Assistant with Mealtime duty
- Full time to commence as soon as possible in September 2026
To be paid at NJC Band C Scale Point 6 £13.47ph (39 weeks per year) for the TA role and NJC Band A Scale Point 3 £12.85ph (38 weeks per year) for the MTA role.
This particular role is a fixed term appointment linked to EHCP funding to support pupils with high levels of complex SEND across the school.
Predominately in Early years and KS1, but could lead to KS2 work also following further EHCP's in progress.
We are looking for an individual who has excellent skills and knowledge in this area and is able to evidence previous experience of working with SEN children in a primary school to ensure the statutory needs can be met for these pupils.
CPD will be provided along with support from outside agencies.

We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively.
You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed.
Ideally, you will
- Provide a sensitive and nurturing approach to children’s needs
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
- Have excellent English and Maths skills
- Be willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
- Be able to use your own initiative when required
- Have experience in a similar role in a school
- Have prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs
- You should have literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
