The Workplace Assessor will conduct SVQ assessments for social care staff, observing practice in the workplace, reviewing evidence, and ensuring that all assessment decisions align with relevant standards and awarding body requirements. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and support adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to manage a caseload, plan visits, and meet deadlines independently.
  • Confidence using digital tools for e‑portfolios, remote meetings, and online documentation, with good general IT proficiency (email, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of social care practice, regulation, and person‑centered approaches; experience working in a care setting is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to fairness, inclusivity, and high‑quality learner experience, with a flexible and problem‑solving approach.
