Job Description

The purpose of this post is to provide Technical/AV support services to all departments, members of staff, pupils and other stakeholders in the school.

Responsibilities

  • Specialised Technical and AV Tasks
  • Health and Safety
  • Provision and organisation of materials and equipment
  • Responsible for relevant in-service training / CPD
  • Financial responsibility including inventory tasks

The Individual

  • Expertise in the areas of Technical/AV
  • Qualified to HNC level in a Technical subject; Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent as demonstrated by experience in any of this field
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Proven time management skills
  • Working knowledge of software applications including word, excel and general internet access
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn
  • Self confidence
  • Self motivated
  • A commitment to ensure that appropriate health and safety standards are met
  • Evidence of an ability to prioritise work tasks for self
  • Ability to accurately record information
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • An ability to communicate technical issues to all within the school environment
  • Willingness to accept direction/delegation
  • Ability to lift and carry computer hardware in conjunction with moving and handling regulations
