The predicted salary is between 15.66 - 15.66 £ per hour.
To carry out the duties of a Carpet fitter/ floor layer and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.
Responsibilities
- To undertake craft duties as directed by the Contracts/Repairs/Voids Supervisor.
- To participate in alternative shift pattern rotas.
- To undertake training as required.
- To comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines.
- To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.
The Individual
- Time Served Carpet Fitter/Floor Layer or able to demonstrate required competencies/experience.
- Minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Carpet Fitting/Floor Laying (or demonstrate equal).
- Capable of working on own or as a team member.
- Full driving licence.
- Good all round knowledge of a variety of floor coverings, and general construction works.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to be diplomatic with clients/staff. Be polite and of tidy appearance.
- Ability to show high level of customer care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working.
- Able to undertake all the duties of the post and good physical fitness appropriate to undertaking tasks.
- Ability to work on site within a construction environment.
- Willingness to work flexibly and when required, outside office hours.
