Requirements:
- The collection of waste from domestic and trade establishments
- Assist the refuse driver in the collection and disposal of waste
- Responsibility for the operation and service of the round when driving
- General cleansing duties
- To ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied
The Individual:
- Category C Licence
- Previous employment of a similar nature i.e. predominantly labour intensive
- Previous experience in an LGV driving post
- Must have a basic level of literacy in order to read and act on instruction
- Able to work on own under instruction and as part of a team
- Ability to follow routines and instructions
- Able to communicate with members of the public
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working
- Willingness to accept direction/delegation
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service
- Ability to bend and stretch in order to uplift waste and recyclable materials
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
