The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

Undertake as a member of a team, duties concerned with the collection of waste from domestic and trade establishments. May be required to cover street sweeping/litter collection duties and public convenience cleaning to cover staff shortages. May be required to cover duties at outlying depots.

  • To ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied

The Individual

  • Previous employment of a similar nature i.e. predominantly labour intensive
  • Must have a basic level of literacy in order to read and act on instruction
  • Able to work on own under instruction and as part of an effective team
  • Self confident
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to follow routines and instructions
  • Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with members of the public
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working
  • Willingness to accept direction/delegation
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service
  • Ability to bend and stretch in order to uplift waste and recyclable materials in accordance with manual handling regulations
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Working 22 hours over 3 days: Monday, Thursday and Friday

Starting Salary: £26,531 (pro rata) £13.79 per hour
