Job Description
To carry out inspections, repairs and maintenance to playground equipment and other fabricated items
Requirements
Inspection of items of Play Equipment
Maintenance of Play Equipment and associated safety surfacing
Installation of Play Equipment items and associated safety surfacing
Installation, inspection and maintenance of other Open Space items including: outdoor gym equipment and items such as gates and fences located in parks, cemeteries and other similar open spaces
Use of powered and non-powered hand tools
Responsibility for Allocated vehicles
Ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied
The Individual
Experience of fabrication and welding techniques or a willingness to undertake such training
Numerate and literate as accurate record keeping is required
Ability to work as part of a team
Some practical knowledge of Health and Safety processes and procedures and the ability to work effectively within these processes
Experience of using powered hand tools
Ability to carry out regular vehicle checks
Current Full Driving Licence
Able to drive vehicles with trailers
Flexible attitude
Ability to work as part of a small team
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
This post is considered to be a Regulated Role' under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

Friday 07:30am to 12:00 pm
