To provide a range of services within the complex of Lossiemouth Sports & Community Centre and on occasions as required at the outdoor pavilion, Astro pitch in Lossiemouth.
Requirements
This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act, it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will therefore be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
Responsibilities
- Building security
- Preparing rooms / areas for use by groups
- Monitoring, reporting on and carrying out cleaning / maintenance duties
- Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are complied with
- Undertaking general duties
The Individual
- Experience of care and maintenance of property and cleaning
- Ability to record information accurately
- Numerate
- Aptitude for tidiness
- Attention to detail
- Flexible approach to work
- Ability to prioritise tasks/action
- Ability to follow routines and instructions
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Able to carry out handyman/basic maintenance duties
- Active listening and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with members of the public and staff
- Willingness to accept direction/delegation
- Ability to move furniture and equipment in conjunction with moving and handling regulations
- Ability to bend and stretch for wet and dry cleaning
- Must be flexible to meet the needs/demands of the service

Starting Salary: £26,281 (pro rata) £13.66 per hour, 11.25 hours per week
