To work as part of the Area Housing Teams providing clerical support to front line Housing Services.

Requirements

  • Provide clerical support to the Area Housing Teams.
  • Provide a word processing and typing service to the Area Housing Teams.
  • Provide a personal reception service.
  • Contribute to service improvement and flexible team working.

The Individual

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology and equipment e.g. photocopier, E-mail, Intra/Internet.
  • Clerical/administration/typing experience.
  • Experience of utilising a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, Excel and Access.
  • 4 SQA standard grades or equivalent at Level 3 or above including English.
  • Recognised word processing qualification.
  • Ability to use initiative when required.
  • A flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to record information accurately.
  • Self-confident and self-motivated.
  • Effective customer care skills and focus.
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
  • An ability to meet set standards and agreed targets.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks.
