To provide assistance to teaching staff by undertaking a variety of general clerical tasks.

Requirements

The successful postholder will be assigned mainly to the Home Economics department but may be required to work in other departments as the need arises. A First Aid qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Filing
  • Collating materials
  • Preparation of teaching materials
  • Transfer of information and data
  • Recording and Maintaining Presence in Pupil ‘Time Out’ facility
  • Typing various documentation

The Individual

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Ability to demonstrate a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy
  • First Aid Qualification (Desirable)
  • Well organised and motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  • High level of accuracy in work

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

Starting Salary: £26,295 (pro rata) £13.95 per hour

35 Hours per week (term time only)
