To carry out grounds maintenance and other related activities in open spaces, including parks, cemeteries, housing areas, schools, highways, and countryside areas.

  • Application of Pesticides/Insecticides
  • Use of Powered Hand Tools

The Individual:

  • Experience of grounds maintenance, grass cutting equipment and tractor operations
  • Experience of using strimmers/pedestrian mowers
  • Able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and competencies required for role
  • Able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Adherence to policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow routine and planned work instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work flexibly (i.e. overtime to meet the needs/demands of the service)
  • Ability to bend and stretch when digging soil, raking, hoeing and edging beds and borders
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Temporary up to 25 September 2026

Closing date - 22 May 2026

Starting salary - £26,839.80 (£13.95 per hour)

37 Hours a week (hours are annualised - 35 in the winter & 37 in the summer)
