To carry out the duties of an advanced craft Plumber and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.

To undertake craft duties as directed by the Plumbing & Heating Co-ordinator/Supervisor.

To undertake training as required.

  • Time Served Plumber or 3rd / 4th year apprentice considered with full working knowledge of domestic plumbing & heating systems.
  • Working knowledge and suitably qualified to maintain, service and install gas central heating boilers.
  • 3rd / 4th year apprentice SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
  • Current SNIJIB/Gas Safe Register Grading Card.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Good all round knowledge of a range of domestic plumbing & heating systems.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to move and handle equipment and materials in accordance with manual handling regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our Building Services team at the DLO, that directly employ over 150 multi trade and specialist support staff. Services provided include building maintenance and improvement services to the Council's 6,300 houses, as well as reactive and planned maintenance to other Council buildings that includes schools, offices and libraries.

Moray Council provides an excellent package including on & off site training, provision of personal protective equipment and tools.

Hourly Rate: £18.60
