The predicted salary is between 60000 - 65000 £ per year.
To develop and manage a high quality, efficient and effective Professional Quantity Surveying Service as directed by the Service Manager Property, Estates & Assets, all in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Council, relative to work commissions for internal Clients.
To lead and develop the Quantity Surveying Group including Clerk of Works in all aspects of management delegated by the Service Manager Property, Estates & Assets including staff resourcing, delegation of work and supervision of staff.
To perform all tasks relative to a Professional Quantity Surveyor and take responsibility for cost aspects of all Capital and Revenue projects for Council Departments.
To ensure the timeous provision of appropriate information to the Service Manager Property, Estates & Assets and to Clients and Members on matters of legitimate concern.
To co-ordinate 'Best Value' issues relating to the Quantity Surveying Group.
To assist with planning and programming of Capital and Revenue Works as requested, for all Clients.
To assist the Service Manager Property, Estates & Assets with provision of professional fee charging details to facilitate year end journal transfers from Client accounts by the Accountancy Section.
- Considerable post Chartered Surveyor experience in a Professional Quantity Surveying environment.
- Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying and/or Professional Associate of the RICS (past or present).
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
- Willingness to work in a demanding position where a flexible approach is required.
- Knowledge of policies, issues, procedures and practices, relating to the delivery of a multi-disciplinary Professional Property Service.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
