To support the delivery of Moray Council’s Care at Home Service by updating and maintaining the scheduling and monitoring tool to deploy front line staff in the most efficient and effective manner and provide a point of contact for Individuals and staff in a customer focused, fast moving and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule the delivery of care packages to Individuals.
  • Provide an administrative function to support the scheduling and monitoring system.
  • Participate in team meetings and Council initiatives.
  • Health and Safety.

The Individual

  • Experience of working with both older people and those with physical and mental health disabilities and groups, in a community setting.
  • Awareness of the social, emotional and physical needs of people.
  • IT literate in word, excel, email and Microsoft packages.
  • Experience of working with different IT systems.
  • 4 SQA Standard grades or equivalent at level 3 or above including English and Maths.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • To be able to work under pressure and prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to accurately record information.
  • Self-confident and self-motivated.
  • Confidentiality.
  • You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.
  • Ability to deal confidently and sympathetically with people who may not agree with decisions and policies.
  • Ability to use discretion and adopt a calm approach.
  • Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
  • Able to work in an open plan office.
  • Ability to work in different office depending on service requirements.
  • Flexible to meet the demands of the service.

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act, it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will therefore be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
