The predicted salary is between 26000 - 27000 Β£ per year.
To provide effective & efficient administration support within the Community Care Finance section, ensuring the correct charging for Community Care Services is implemented in accordance with Moray Council Policy & Scottish Government Legislation.
Responsibilities
- Experience/Training in Local Government financial systems.
- Knowledge & basic understanding of welfare benefits.
- Experience of using a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office, Excel etc.
- 4 SQA Standard Grades or equivalent (at level 3 or above including English and Mathematics/Arithmetic).
- Excellent keyboard skills.
- Effective communication skills - both oral and written.
- Self confident and self motivated.
- Ability to record information accurately.
- Sound knowledge of software packages e.g. Microsoft Office.
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of numeracy, organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to be compassionate and demonstrate patience, tact and understanding.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to accept direction/ delegation.
- Appreciation, acceptance of and commitment to importance of confidentiality.
- Where required, an ability to work using own initiative, while also being a team player.

Requirements
- To be aware of relevant legislation relating to the charging policies/criteria as laid down by Central/Local Government to assist with the calculation of Financial Assessments for Community Care Services.
- To be aware of welfare benefit entitlement and the relevant eligibility criteria in order to advise Service Users and or their families, work colleagues of benefits/services available and the applicable charge for services.
- To advise Service Users/Representatives, fellow work colleagues and service providers of charges for care services.
- To use on a daily basis several IT systems for maintaining accurate Service User/Provider information.
- Provide full administrative support within the team and undertake financial and administrative tasks as directed by the Administration Officer or Community Care Finance Officer.
