The Individual:

  • Knowledge of underground cable jointing, fault finding in cable networks.
  • Inspection and testing, experienced in installation maintenance.
  • SJIB Approved Electrician.
  • CSCS ECS SJIB grade card.
  • City and Guilds 236 A+B, or City and Guilds 2365 level 2,3 or equivalent.
  • Current full Driving Licence.
  • Must be able to keep good records, digitally and written.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, understand digital or paper drawings and plans, use mobile IT systems.
  • Must have the ability to make appropriate on site decisions as an Electrician in respect to health and safety.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisor.
  • Knowledge of site safety.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Regular standby cover for emergency works will be required.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to work individually or as a member of a team with or without direct supervision.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Satisfactory report from Occupational Health Service.
  • Knowledge and application of safe manual handling techniques.
