Teach assigned classes together with the associated preparation and correction. Develop the school curriculum. Assess, record and report the work of pupils. Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration. Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education. Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils. Work in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals. Undertake appropriate and agreed Continuing Professional Development. Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review. Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
The Individual: Applications will also be considered from applicants who are provisionally registered and are able to take up unpromoted permanent positions on a temporary basis. Full-time posts are also suitable for applicants wishing to apply on a job-share or part-time basis.
Regulated Role: This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. It is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment by Moray Council.
