The job involves playing an important role in the team within the Consultancy and will carry direct responsibility for the delivery of quality services. This includes many aspects of feasibility, assessment, design, supervision and the like, financial management, quality management, health and safety management and forward planning for continuous improvement. There will be a wide range of related engineering duties involved from time to time including but not restricted to coastal protection, flood alleviation, drainage and structural engineering related to building.

Requirements

  • Civil engineering and Flood Risk Management related project design and preparation.
  • Procurement, project management, contract administration and site supervision together with measurement and valuation.
  • Complying with policies, statutory procedures and dealing with land related issues.

Personal Development

  • Knowledge and awareness of construction methods, design and maintenance procedures.
  • HNC/ HND or equivalent experience in a construction related discipline.
  • Neat and accurate.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Adaptable.
  • Resourceful.
  • Familiar with general-purpose software such as word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
