JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of a transport Debrief Clerk is providing administration support to the transport office, to ensure the drivers are fully briefed on their route and fully debriefed on return, in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct thorough debriefs with drivers upon return from deliveries
- Review and verify paperwork
- Report and escalate and delivery issues, delays, or incidents
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations
- Update transport management systems with accurate data
- Collaborate with dispatchers, planners and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate professionally and confidently with customers via telephone and/or email
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
- Have a working knowledge of Transport Legislation / WTD / Drivers hours.
- Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Integrity and professionalism displaying a positive “can do” attitude.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and follow instructions.
- Time management skills are essential.
- Being polite and courteous.
- Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- A good level of numeracy and literacy accuracy is essential.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team as required.
