We are seeking an experienced and independent Security Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of our current IT systems and cyber security posture. The engagement is focused on providing an objective assessment of our existing environment, identifying potential weaknesses or exposed areas, and delivering a clear, prioritised action plan for improvement.
Scope of Work
- Conduct an independent review of existing IT infrastructure, systems, and cyber security controls.
- Assess the effectiveness of current security measures and identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, or areas of exposure.
- Review security posture across key operational and technical domains.
- Identify risks relating to systems, processes, access controls, endpoint security, network security, data protection, and user practices.
- Map identified weaknesses and provide practical remediation recommendations.
- Deliver a written report outlining findings, risk levels, and prioritised recommendations.
- Produce a clear action plan with suggested next steps to improve the organisation’s cyber security maturity and resilience.
- Provide an independent perspective that complements existing MSP support arrangements.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience conducting cyber security audits, posture assessments, or security reviews.
- Strong knowledge of current cyber security best practices and frameworks.
- Experience identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working independently and providing objective assessments.
- Relevant cyber security certifications are desirable (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, CEH, Cyber Essentials Assessor, etc.).
