Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings that reflect current culinary trends.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes served.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Experience in team management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
