We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join our Finance team as an Accounting Finance Manager Apprentice. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop professional accounting and financial management skills while working towards a recognised Level 6 qualification. The successful candidate will gain practical experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and business partnering, supporting the organisation in delivering accurate financial management and strategic decision‑making. You will support employees across the business in the UK and Europe while developing valuable technical and professional skills. Occasional travel to Southampton, France and Spain will be required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with year‑end accounts and audit preparation
- Support payroll, expenses and accounts payable/receivable processes where required
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls and company policies
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support cash flow monitoring and financial performance reporting
- Work with budget holders and operational managers to provide financial guidance
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Use finance systems and reporting tools effectively
- Complete apprenticeship learning, assignments and assessments within required timescales
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above or equivalent)
- 3 A Levels at B grade or above
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Willingness to study towards a professional finance qualification
