We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our Dedicated Customer Professional, based at our European Head office in Gravesend, Kent, supporting our Portugal customers. Joining us on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday (Portugal Hours), you will receive a competitive salary. As our Dedicated Customer Professional, you will be building strong relationships with customers on the telephone, overseeing all orders, liaising with key colleagues to ensure everything is in place to guarantee deliveries within lead time. You will handle all customer enquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee customer deliveries responsible for all our Portugal customer base.
  • Be the first point of contact for all customer requests, respond to customers within agreed time scales.
  • Proactive communication to keep customers informed.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, including weekly courtesy calls with key customers and internal account managers.
  • Takes ownership of challenges and follow through to ensure delivery as promised to the customer, collaborating with colleagues.
  • Investigate complaints, monitor and challenge for preventative measures.
  • Challenge processes to ensure constant improvement.
  • Process customer orders and check colleagues' order entry.
  • Process and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Understand, communicate, and process promotional deals.
  • Contact customers who regularly order and haven't ordered in their usual timeframe.
  • Proactively contact customers to ensure they are aware of any offers that are running.

Essential Skills:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a demanding customer service environment.
  • Fluent speaker in European Portuguese.
  • IT proficient in MS package, intermediate to advanced in Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship builder.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to deliver difficult messages positively.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback positively.
  • Process driven and able to adopt and utilise to best advantage.
  • Proactive attitude.

Desirable Skills:

  • Additional language spoken, in particular Spanish.
  • Experience of working with SAP and Salesforce.
  • Experience of complaint handling through to resolution.
  • International business understanding and/or experience.
