We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our UK Energy Sector Specialist Industrial Lubricants reporting into the Industrial Sales Manager . Homebased role covering the UK .Joining us on a full time, contract basis, Monday to Friday, 40hours, with overnight stays required, you will receive a competitive salary . As our Sector Specialist , you will play a key role in growing Mooves lubricants business across the UK Energy Sector, using your contacts network, industry expertise, technical knowledge and commercial experience to identify opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and increase Mobil market share. You will be the UK subject matter expert for the Energy Sector, with a particular focus on gas engines, CHP applications, coolants, turbine oils and related lubricant products and services. Working closely with our Sales, Technical, Marketing and Distributor Lube Engineer (DLE) teams, you will develop and deliver the sector strategy, whilst supporting our regional sales teams to maximise growth. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you will combine strategic thinking, technical expertise and strong commercial sales capability to deliver profitable growth. Responsibilities as our Sector Specialist are to: Own and deliver the UK Energy Sector sales volume, revenue and profitability targets. Develop and implement the Energy Sector strategy and annual sector plan for Mooves industrial lubricants business in the UK. Identify new business opportunities, upcoming projects and growth areas across the Energy Sector, developing these through to successful conversion. Build and manage strong relationships with key sector customers, helping to increase Mobil market share and customer value. Act as Mooves UK Energy Sector knowledge leader, keeping up to date with market developments, customer needs, technology and future opportunities. Lead, coach and support regional DSRs in executing the sector strategy and developing regional Energy Sector sales. Work closely with the DLE, Sales Manager and Marketing teams to develop and deliver sector programmes, propositions and campaigns. Develop future product and service propositions that respond to customer needs and support our growth ambitions. Facilitate the exchange of new product, technical and service information with key customers and their technical and maintenance teams. Maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are effectively identified, developed, managed and converted. Maximise face-to-face time with customers and regional sales teams through effective planning and time management. Support accurate forecasting to help ensure appropriate product availability and stock levels. Support and coordinate tender submissions, contract reviews and other key commercial opportunities. Launch and support relevant marketing and sales promotions across B2B and, where appropriate, B2C customers. Share your sector knowledge and expertise across the wider business, helping to develop the capability of our sales teams . Skills required of our Sector Specialist: Essential In-depth knowledge and experience of the UK Energy Sector, particularly gas engines and CHP applications. Strong understanding of the UK route-to-market and key customers within the Energy Sector. Good knowledge of upcoming Energy projects and the ability to identify future commercial opportunities. Strong understanding of the sales process and the purchasing decision drivers within the sector. Understanding of the legal, commercial, technical and product requirements relevant to the Energy Sector. Strong technical and value-added sales capability, with a proven ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value for customers. Experience of developing or refining sales strategies and plans to deliver business growth. Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to maximise the profitability of Mobil lubricants and associated products and services. Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills. Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with senior customers, technical teams and internal stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service. Ability and willingness to coach and develop others, sharing technical and sector knowledge in a structured and engaging way. Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills. Good forecasting and pipeline management capability. Computer literate with strong presentation skills. Desirable, but not essential Understanding of critical-path equipment and maintenance practices. Knowledge of lubrication and coolant applications within the Energy Sector Knowledge of working practices, logistics, planning and certification within the Energy Sector. An established network of contacts and relationships with key Energy Sector customers. Experience using sales pipeline management tools or similar CRM systems .
