We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Sales Manager – Critical Power Sector for the WP Group. Remote Based and reporting to the General Manager. Working Monday to Friday 830-1730.

Your opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager – Critical Power will be responsible for the strategic, profitable growth of the Energy & Power sector within the WP Group fuels business. Focused on strategic opportunities that can generate both volume and GM growth within Critical Power sector, the Sales Manager will look for new customer acquisition across all elements of our offer (both fuel supply and fuel services), develop our current growth potential customers and look to further develop and manage our key accounts. This role will be responsible for developing our core offer into the sector which includes bringing in new added value products/services as well as developing elements of our current offer. This role will own the sales & marketing strategy for the sector. The individual will be a highly capable, experienced commercial professional with extensive business development and marketing skill. This role is a senior sales role within our business responsible for a sector that is one of our largest sectors and identified for significant growth for the future.
Requirements
A rounded business professional, the individual will be highly commercial having a successful track record in dealing with high level commercial deals within areas such as data centres, standby power, utilities and facilities management. Strategically minded, you will have proven experience of effective business management and relationship development resulting in successful and long-term business partnerships. A team player with exceptional communication skills you will work with Fuels colleagues and the wider commercial business to develop innovative solutions to support our Critical Power sector customers and maximise business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Ownership, development and implementation of the Critical Power sales and marketing strategy
- Development of our offer including alternative fuels, fuel services and 24/7 emergency contracts
- Sales pipeline development and management for all Critical Power development opportunities.
- Identify new products, services, and technology opportunities within key accounts in this sector
- Build and develop strong commercial relationships with key customers in this sector
- From strategic new business acquisitions in Critical Power, maximise commercial opportunities by developing mutually beneficial business partnerships
- Deliver improvements and efficiencies through close commercial management
- Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and conditions
- Lead and manage regular contract reviews and governance meetings with new business acquisitions
- Responsibility for creating, developing and delivering the marketing plan and strategy for the sector
- Establish a leadership position by networking throughout the Critical Power industry by developing relationships
- As the sector specialist, continue to develop and grow by improving knowledge of the sector
