Here at Moorview Vets, we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small animal practice. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of nursing care including clinics and in-patient care of surgical and medical cases before, during and after procedures.
We are a well-established first-opinion, small animal veterinary practice with six primary care branches across the Northeast and a large, dedicated team. This position will primarily be based at our Backworth location, with occasional visits to our other consulting branches. We are one of the few first-opinion practices in the Northeast to have an on-site CT scanner. Our modern facility is also equipped with an in-house lab, digital x-ray, ECG, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and dental x-ray.
We have a fantastic team of nurses, including 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, and an Animal Care Assistant. Several of our nurses are trained in Schedule 3 procedures, which allows our vets to focus on more complex cases. Some nurses are working towards further qualifications in ECC, behaviour, and feline nursing. The team has a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, with help always available for more challenging cases. CPD is actively supported and encouraged within the team.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, 5 days per week with a mixture of shifts between 7:30am-8:30pm.
