Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) to join our GP practice and provide high-quality, patient-centred medical care.
The successful candidate will assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, while supporting patients with preventative healthcare and ongoing wellbeing.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the GP will contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the practice and work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure patients receive safe, effective and accessible care.
Main duties of the job
- Conduct face-to-face and remote consultations, assessing patients and developing appropriate management plans.
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide ongoing management and monitoring of patients with long-term conditions.
- Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in accordance with current guidance.
- Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and other healthcare professionals where required.
- Provide preventative healthcare, including health promotion, screening and lifestyle advice.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential patient records.
- Respond appropriately to urgent and complex clinical presentations.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, administrative staff and other members of the wider healthcare team.

- Maintain professional knowledge and skills through continuing professional development (CPD).
