Moorside High School, part of Consilium Academies, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of Year to join our pastoral team. About the Role

  • Lead and support a team of Form Tutors
  • Promote high standards of attendance, behaviour and achievement
  • Provide pastoral care, guidance and intervention for students
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff and external agencies
  • Lead assemblies, year group initiatives and student support strategies
  • Help create a positive and inclusive culture where every student can succeed

What We’re Looking For

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Can motivate and inspire young people
  • Is calm, resilient and solution-focused
  • Has experience working with young people and families
  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing
  • Experience within a school or pastoral setting is highly desirable.
