Director of External Engagement in Christchurch

Christchurch Full-Time No working from home possible
Moorlands College

We are seeking an exceptional person to join our Executive Leadership Team at a pivotal moment in the College’s development. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, creating influence, and ultimately helping more people discover and access transformational theological education.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do. The Director of External Engagement will play the leading role in ensuring sustainable growth in student recruitment by strengthening our connections with churches, denominations, Christian networks, alumni, and other key partners across the UK and beyond.

This is not primarily a marketing role. It is a relationship‑building role with marketing, communications, and recruitment as the means by which influence is translated into engagement and enrolment.

The Opportunity

As a senior leader and ambassador for the College, you will work closely with the Principal & CEO to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and position the College as a trusted partner for theological education and leadership formation at a time when the College is seeking Degree Awarding Powers.

You will develop strategic partnerships, cultivate influential relationships, oversee our communications and brand, mobilise our alumni community, and provide hands‑on leadership for student recruitment initiatives.

Whether speaking at a church leaders’ conference, developing a new denominational partnership, inspiring alumni to become advocates, or guiding a recruitment campaign, your focus will be clear: ensuring that those called to study and serve can find their way to us.

Why This Role Matters

The College exists to equip people, passionate about Jesus, to impact the church and world. As Director of External Engagement, you will play a vital role in helping future students discover their calling, access excellent theological education, and make a lasting impact in churches and communities around the world. The relationships you build and the influence you cultivate will directly contribute to the College’s mission and long‑term sustainability.
