QSHE Coordinator | Progression to QSHE Manager

Stockport

£33,000 to £38,000 basic salary, with annual increases

Clear, planned progression into QSHE management

Are you an experienced QSHE professional looking for a role with genuine progression?

We are recruiting for a growing specialist manufacturer with an excellent culture, approachable leadership team and exciting plans for the future. This is a key site-based position offering the successful person a structured development path towards becoming a QSHE Manager.

You will work closely with an experienced Compliance Manager, taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and continuous improvement of the company’s quality, safety, health and environmental systems.

The role

You will help maintain compliance across ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4501, while working closely with Production, Engineering, Technical and Warehouse teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the company’s integrated management systems, compliance registers and controlled documentation
  • Conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, site inspections and internal audits
  • Supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Coordinating external audits and maintaining audit readiness
  • Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety awareness initiatives
  • Monitoring environmental controls, waste processes, chemical storage and spill procedures
  • Supporting permit-to-work, LOTO and other operational safety systems
  • Producing monthly QSHE reports covering incidents, audits, actions, training and environmental performance
  • Driving workforce engagement and promoting a positive, open reporting culture

What we are looking for

You will already have experience within a QSHE, HSE or compliance role in a manufacturing, chemical or process-led environment.

You will also need:

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 4501
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting incident investigations
  • Strong documentation, reporting and audit skills
  • The confidence to engage with and influence people across a manufacturing site
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and document control systems

A NEBOSH Certificate, internal auditor training or experience with COSHH, DSEAR, REACH or chemical manufacturing would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Why apply?

This is more than a standard Coordinator position. The company wants to develop someone into a future QSHE Manager and has a planned progression route in place for the successful candidate.

You will join a friendly, supportive and genuinely people-focused business where your contribution will be visible and valued.
